CULTURE & HISTORY II
This module is a continuation from the previous semester, moving on to the Age of Enlightenment, up until the period of Futurism as well as the Bauhaus Movement. We are also provided with in-depth lessons about the Masters of Modern Architecture: Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies Van Der Rohe, Le Cobusier and Walter Gropius. The assignments had a lot to do with research and report writing based on the Malaysian architecture – mainly the post independent period.

Throughout the entirety of the module, I was tutored by Ms Balkish Roslan.

PROJECT 1: TIMELINE AND DIAGRAM ANALYSIS
For our very first assignment, in a group of twelve people, we were required to conduct an in depth-research and analysis of the buildings on the North-East side of Kuala Lumpur. Individually we had to choose a building and do a research and diagram analysis of it. With the information, we had to tabulate it into an A3 timeline. The building I chose was the Dayabumi Complex, and I was tasked to make the timeline.
OUR TIMELINE:
PROJECT 2: REPORT
For our final assignment, in a group of four, we were required to conduct a research once again, this time based on our building of choice around Kuala Lumpur. I was randomly assigned into a group with Arron Goh, Chew Rui Bo and Chee Jia Xin. The building of our choice was the Dewan Tunku Canselor in University Malaya.

With our research and analysis we were required to compile everything into an A4 report.
